I wish there were more of our classs signed on, but I guess for dinosaurs we're making a stronger showing than most. In keeping with the long standing habit of reinventing myself every ten years, I have retired from social work on Maui to take care of my bones on a 80 acre horse farm in central North Carolina. My 20 year old son remains in the islands running an ISP and is about to be engaged to a wonderful girl from Japan. My 15 year old daughter Julia just entered high school. She is giving me more grey hair than I deserve. My husband Elmo is staying in Hollister this year completing a secondary teaching credential at San Jose State. He's finally going to be the artist and teacher he is. Carolina is affordable and lovely so we will see if we come back to CA or remain on the farm. Lord knows. email is most welcome.

Hello to all! Stayed in Morgan Hill for years, moved to Sunnyvale in 1995 when I remarried. Have three grown children - not married yet! No grandchildren. Been working at Lockheed since 1975 - two more years before I retire. Bought a 10 acre place in Oregon and will be moving upon retirement. Would love to hear from you.

I'm living in Lincoln, CA, northeast of Sacramento. Amazing how many Bay Area-ites have migrated to this part of the state! Retired, but still working for awhile. It's great being a grandma to four: one granddaughter, three grandsons.
Our 40th reunion, September, '06, was so much fun. Mrs. Friebel suggested a yearly reunion of all classes. That way if you can't make one year, maybe the next one works for you. That way we can meet up with many more fellow alumni than just OUR class! Great idea!

Hola cornnuts. I hope this finds you well and in good spirits. This finds us in Davis, California. Pam and I enjoy this small Valley town, it's trees, greenbelts, and university atmosphere. It is the base for our large family of 5 children - my 2 sons and her 3 daughters. Kids are scattered everywhere: Fort Collins and Denver, Co., Berkeley and Sacramento and U.C. Irvine. We are comfortable here but are looking towards retirement and maybe relocation (Santa Fe, N.M. or Colorado?). My work takes me from Klamath Falls, Or. to Brownsville, Tx. If I'm in your neighborhood - let me know! We are both outdoor people and enjoy hiking (sometimes with John Sylvain), backpacking and kayaking. At home, there is gardening to be done. We grow vegetables in the backyard and fronyard, too! I do get to M.H on business and enjoy a cup of coffee
with G. Thomas and Coach Malynn at
Starbucks.

Greetings Fellow Acorns! We recently purchased my folks' ranch in San Martin. So, you really can go home again! I work for Redlake Imaging right here in Morgan Hill. We are manufacturers of high speed (up to 8000 frames per second) video imaging systems. Between Len and I we have eight children and six grandchildren! We are very involved in our church, make several mission trips to Mexico every year. And, we love sailing. We hope someday to cruise the Gulf of California and points beyond for about a year! May God richly bless each and every one of you. May you know His peace, joy and love. Janet, member of the greatest class in LO History!

Hello, World. Isn't it amazing what you find on line? I live in San Jose, with my daughter and nephew. My children managed to survive me and have presented me with 3 wonderful grandchildren, and all my gray hair. For many years I was a school bus driver, and then dept manager for my district. Now I spend my time at Concentric Network where I get to play with a computer all day.

After getting my teaching credential in 1982, I have been employed at our alma mater;yes, I am a veteran English teacher here at Live Oak. Yes. Everything has changed, except for the literary classics. My husband Arthur works here too as a Woodworking, Cabinet-Making teacher. Our one child, a daughter named Chalice, graduated from Live Oak in 1993. I came to Live Oak in my Senior year, so I decided to stay around longer than most of you. I have enjoyed having the children of some of the '66 graduates. Please stop by Room 901 to visit me if you're ever on campus.

Hi Gang,
It has been a long time since I have seen or heard from any of you. When I left Live Oak, I went to Humboldt State and transferred to Chico State where I graduated with a degree in civil engineering. I went into the Army for two years and then to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for 38 plus years. I retired in March primarily to be able to spend more time with relatives “before it got too late.” Otherwise, I was still having fun working. After my final assignment in Washington DC, my wife and I moved to Plainfield, Illinois to be close to our daughter and her family. Being grandparents is great!
I had a wonderful, satisfying, and fun filled career in the FHWA. It was very rewarding to have worked with so many transportation leaders and experts from across the country and some from foreign countries. I felt like I was a positive influence on projects and on State and National policies and standards. I had assignments in many wonderful places: CT, AZ, Washington DC HQ (twice), NJ, VA, and MO. I started as an assistant area engineer (CT) and rose to a Division Administrator (MO) and finished my career as the Associate Administrator for Civil Rights. The first half of my career was spent helping build the Interstate System. Notable projects that I was directly involved overseeing over the years included HOV lanes on I-84/I-86 in Hartford, I-95 in Northern Virginia and I-64/I-264 in Tidewater Virginia; I-10 through Phoenix; drainage tunnel design and construction in Phoenix and the 3M tunnel under the James River in Tidewater Virginia, I-95 Woodrow Wilson Bridge and Springfield Interchange replacements in Northern Virginia, the I-29 signature bridge over the Missouri River in Kansas City, reconstructing I-64 through St. Louis, and the I-70 New Mississippi River Bridge currently under construction in St. Louis. During my first tour in the Washington HQ, I was able to conduct national reviews and write papers on highway safety design and highway construction materials. I also taught courses in safety design and materials. On my second tour I was responsible for managing the national disadvantaged business enterprise program and ADA access issues and being the agency champion for employees with disabilities and hiring more people with severe disabilities. I also enjoyed working with so many talented people, coaching employees, and giving them career counseling. Reflecting on my career, I can hardly believe I was really blessed in working with so many great people and having been given so many challenging and interesting opportunities, many unique, to learn and use my knowledge and creativity to solve problems, succeed, and leave my “finger prints” on many significant projects, policies, and how people view the world.
Now that I have a much more flexible schedule, I am looking forward to attending our next reunion. Take care.

My wife, Pam and I live "Bi-coastally". During the growing season, we work our vineyard and winery near Charlottesville VA. When the vines go to sleep, we return to winter at our cottage on Coronado Island CA.

I retired from the US Courts in 2005, my last courthouse Clerkship was in VA.

Our children, Jess & Kate are both married and living in So Calif. We currently have two grandchildren.

I am still keeping a hand in music. I have just completed my latest full-length musical play called "The Ballad of Johnny Law" set in Morgan Hill during the wartime Forties.

I previously wrote a three-act musical play, "The Angel of Ever Ever", based upon the lives of Gertrude Strong Achilles and Charles Kellogg, who lived against the east hills at Fountain Oaks. That play has a web site at: www.charleskellogg.com

Love and health to all of you!

Still living in San Jose 30 years later. My son (with Jeff) is older than me and the father of my beautiful 7 year old grandson, Nicholas, who's a real jock! My daughter, Lindsay, is 18 and a freshman at San Jose State. I work as a project manager for a general contractor here in San Jose and love construction-especially when I want to remodel. I'm working on the reunion for the class of '66. We want to invite all other interested classes to join us for our reunion extravaganza in July. It is my understanding that a web page is being set up, even as we speak, which will give all relevant info. All 66ers( and other interested parties) please contact us!
