Class of 1974
Ancheta (Ferchau), Carol
Mar 05, 2006
I graduated LO and married my high school sweetie Joerg. Best decision I ever made! We raised our 3 great kids in Morgan Hill and continue to live in this great community. I enjoy life in our small town, although it's growing like crazy. I spent much of my time involved in community organizations for many years and now devote my time to working as inside sales rep for the high tech industry in addition to supporting the Amerian Lung cancer society. I'm looking for my 2 best friends from high school, Anita Acost and Anne Huerta. If you're out there give me a holler!! Hi to all my LO class mates!

Hey there! I have
lived in Hollister for the past 21 years. I married a girl who happens to be a Haybaler Alumni, so have had to endure much harrassment about our beloved Acorns. To make matters even more difficult, I have 2 children, a son, 19 and daughter 17, who are Balers as well. I have even been seen cheering on the Balers as my son played football for 4 years. If you get a chance or the urge, I'd enjoy hearing from some of my classmates and/or team players.

Hi,
I just thought I would touch base with my classmates. I have been single for 15 years now. I have not found my Soul Mate just yet and believe he is on his way. I have one Daughter who is 28 and is a wonderful person.
So what have I been up too? I’m living in Burbank, California Los Angeles County at the moment and freelancing Architectural Drafting projects. I also have a background in Production Design for film (The Design of the visual look of a Film) and have done a few Features, Shorts and TV Pilots. I think about retiring but find life to interesting and want to keep going. When I think about Retiring it would be doing some kind of service work using all the skills acquired during my life. Such as designing construction plans for much needed buildings in counties that need it or even in the United States. Sometimes I think of taking a camera and documenting my experience or others of life’s trials and triumphs.
I would love to hear from my classmates.

Well, after 20+years working in/teaching public safety in Sta. Clara Co., hubby Jeff and I moved to a small coastal town in S.L.Obispo Co. to enjoy a slower-paced lifestyle and raise our youngest daughter. Since then I've spent several years coordinating environmental ed. programs, volunteering in my community and for the CA Youth Authority; and conducting nearly 150 weddings as a Commissioner of Marriages for SLO Co's Recorder's Office! Our 2 older daughters and 4 grandkids still live near MH and our youngest is now a "1st year" at UCLA. As empty nesters, we're looking forward to FINALLY traveling more often. Life is good here at the beach! Take Care!

We've been living in the Sierra Foothills for about 6 years now, after living and working in Silicon Valley since High School (that sounds boring, I'll have to come up with a better life story than that...). I still get down to Morgan Hill a couple of times a year, and strange but true, last time there, I actually saw an Orchard! Well, maybe that was just a mirage from the past... I'm glad to hear that there are still a lot from our class living in the south bay. But damn, you guys look different!
Hey there fellow Acorns, time sure flies by. I've been living just over the hill for the past 25 yrs.
My 3 rascals are all grown up,Wes is 24,Trev is 23 and Emmi is 18, they all live in the Santa Cruz area.Still working at IBM/Hitachi, almost got my 30 yrs. I miss seeing all my friends from Live Oak, still stay in touch with a few of them. If you get the urge drop me a line, take care......

Hello all! Even though I moved away from M.H. and Live Oak in 1972, I had to join this website to say hello to my friends. After a 4 year stint in the U.S.A.F I returned to Washington state and I'm living in Wenatchee. I have two sons, Christopher,24 and Evan, 15. If you get the chance, drop me a line.
Take care!

This past Saturday Sept 19, 2009 I attended our 35th Class Reunion and had so much fun. It was a blast seeing everyone, most of whom I hadn't seen since the last reunion I went to...which was the 5th. For those of you who have yet to attend a LOHS reunion I can only say to you GO! Being with folks who I shared a past with, good and bad, was pretty darn cool.

I've been teaching for Pratt Community College here in South Central Kansas for the last seven years and have lived here in Anthony, Kansas for about 11 years now. My daughter, Ashley, is finishing her Masters through Southwestern College and is the mother of my one and only grandchild, Chloe (the light of my life!). My son, Dylan, is 21 and still at home with me. I haven't been married for quite some time, but my boyfriend is a wheat farmer/cattle rancher. This town is much like Morgan Hill but much smaller (only 300 kids total in the local high school where I teach!) I really love the way that this place, right now in 2009, reminds me of Morgan Hill back then. I would love to keep in touch.

Hi all! A ghost from the past here. I was sitting at the computer and got a wild hair and decided to see if there was an Live Oak web site. Lo and behold! I had to dust off my yearbook to look at everyone's faces as I read through the list of alumni. Well, since I haven't seen or heard about anyone since 1970, here goes. I'm still in Vallejo (yuck), married(2nd time), with 3 kids. 2 boys, 1 girl. I also have shuffled through the employment line of life and now am a stay at home mom (working part time yard duty at the kids' school).I haven't seen or heard about anyone in soooooooo long, I'm speechless. What ever happened to Debbie Squeri, and the wild bunch? Someone write to me, let me know what's new!

Hello Acorns! I followed many a crooked path for a longg time, going through phases as firefighter, hobo, gold- panner, spending years at crappy jobs while working through college. It all paid off when I found that my degree was essentially worthless. I now work as a case manager for mentally retarded adults in Gilroy. I married an acornette, Colleen Good, 13 yrs ago, and we have 2 very annoying children (I'm so proud). I look forward to my children rocking the boat in the MH Unified school system.

Well everyone, I married in 74, had 3 children, moved to Missouri in 82, divorced in 89, remarried in 94. The kids are grown, no grandkids, yet. I am what I call "skilled slave labor" a silk screen printer, make decals and license plates for car dealers (plates like in prison). I have been in contact with Kay and the family. Saw Dee Dee (Dominguez), Toni & Vicki (Valle) when I was home in 91. Just Got a e-mail today from Tim Grimes. I am still so excited about that!!!!!!!!!!

Wow this isn't easy to figure out what to say! Got a BA from Chico State. Studied at Uni in Germany and Florence (Art) 1 bad marriage-1 fab- now 19 years to an English man I met at Uni in Germany. Became a teacher. Lived in Wash State 9 years & got my Masters in Education. 2 beautiful daughters, 2 lovely grandaughters from Sonya who lives in Los Banos. Monique is an actress in the London and Paris areas (google her: Monique Squeri) She took my maiden name as her stage name. How strange after all the bullying I put up with about my name. On a trip to Venice I found out that Squeri means Gondola maker and is a highly honoured name. Became one of Jehovah's Witnesses after the maelstrom of my early years. Best thing I ever did. Got stability and purpose. Been living in England 19 years, on the south coast now for 9. Have traveled A LOT. We overlook the English Channel & Stephen, my husband, works in London. We have a couple of guest rooms, makes a trip a lot more affordable! All acorns welcome. My freinds have called me Liliana for a long time now so I'll sign off with that.

Hi! Well, after high school my life became more fun: I travelled a lot, worked every menial job there is, lived in tipis and trucks and cabins, danced for a living, etc.-- the Hippie Path. In Montana I got a BS in Nursing, and in PA a MS in Counseling. I finally did marry a geologist named Steve, and have 2 girls, Shaloma and Keturah, 9 and 7. I'm writing a nutrition book now, and homeschooling my kids. I'd love to hear from anyone who was in ILM/Kleine Schule, my true alma mater! I'd also like to know if anyone's going to the 2000 reunion?

My wife and I are now living in LeClaire, Iowa, one of those historic towns on the Mississippi River. We moved here in October 2005 when I was offered the position of editor of Rental Management, a trade magazine for owners and managers of equipment rental companies. No kids, but plenty of pets. After graduating from USC, I worked in Los Angeles and then had a company move us to New York. Then another company moved us to the Chicago area. And now the Quad Cities. My parents still live in Morgan Hill and I hope to get back to visit sometime this year.
