I was in the band all 4 years of High School so it was basically MY LIFE! I remember winning the national championship in 1976 and again in 1978. Awesome experience!! Anyway, I live in Santa Clara, CA with my wonderful husband Sean and beautiful 13 year old stepdaughter Taylor. I also have a great 22 year old son, Josh who attends Chico State and will probably make me a grandmother in the next 5 years. I work as a project manager for Wells Fargo Bank in Concord. Life is GOOD! If anyone remembers me send an e-mail at: Rita.A.Nyulassy@wellsfargo.com. Thanks and GO ACORNS!

I moved away in the 7th grade. Have fond memories of my childhood in Morgan Hill. Went to PA Walsh and Burnett. Was the biggest TOMBOY ever (even looked like a boy and dressed in my bros. old clothes---UGHHH!!) Does anyone remember these old classmates: Steve Olson (he was sooo cute!), Greg Asplund (he was witty), Jim and Rick (the twins), Heidi Higgins, Robert Hunt, Suzie Brewster (my friend in the 4th grade who could only whisper), Scott Malech, Loel Thompson, Kevin Metcalf and little Anita Simpson?? just to name a few....I ended up graduating from SALMON RIVER H.S. in the metropolis of Riggins, ID. 29 kids in my class. I sang professionally for awhile, met my hubby at a motorcyle race (was the trophy girl---still married), got my Bachelor's in nursing and have worked in Labor & Delivery for 12 yrs. Just started to do some travel nsg...LOVE it! 2 blond, BEAUTIFUL kids (Geno and Jade)..Geno is the next Tiger Woods, Jade is exactly the OPPOSITE of what I used to be: She's popular and beautiful...Anybody want to write and exchange some memories of Mrs. Dallam, Mrs. Friebel, Mrs. Patterson, Mrs. Candy or Mrs. Millar's old class days?

Hi Everyone! It's been a long time and it's nice to see some old familiar names out there. I went to San Jose State for 2 years, then on to UC San Diego where I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology. I had several jobs, finally ending up in the Marketing business, where I spent 5 years as a Channel Marketing Manager in the computer industry. I spent a little time working for SJCLO, as a Production Assistant, and I even spent some time working as a Production Manager on a soundstage. But all that's changed now, I'm married (10 years), to Michael McKay, class of 1980. We have a wonderful little boy whose now 8 months old, and I'm enjoying being a stay-at-home mom. I spend my free time working as a Board Member for the Santa Cruz Baroque Festival, and am active in a Group called the Society for Creative Anachronism, a non-profit dedicated to recreating the Middle Ages. We live in Ben Lomond, and would love to hear from you!

Hi Everyone! Wasn't the 30-year combined reunion with the classes of '77 and '76 wonderful? It was great to see my friend Cindy Nydam Cooper again. (Terri Norwood, where are you?)

I am currently a professor at University of the Pacific. I also manage the master of arts program in the School of International Studies. I have been at the university for six years, after working and attending graduate school at Stanford University.

There have been some major life changes for me over the past 16 months. My husband, Marshall, died of prostate cancer in May 2006. My youngest son, Brandon, and I are carrying on. Brandon is a junior in high school. My oldest son, Yusef, is 23 and in the Navy, stationed in San Diego. I have become very active in the civic affairs of Stockton. I'm an Arts Commissioner and I'm on the board of the Stanford Alumni Network of San Joaquin Valley.

I have a gentleman friend named Ray who is an almond farmer and beekeeper in Turlock. We are both "buzzy" people, but we manage to spend a lot of time together. Being close to a farmer has opened the eyes of this big-city girl who spent her childhood in Chicago to an entirely different lifestyle.

I would appreciate hearing from any classmates; just send me an e-mail!

All the best,
Katrina

Sorry I missed everyone at the reunion. I was in California just a couple of weeks before hand when I heard about it. Bad timing I suppose. I'm living in Colorado, working in high-tech, and raising two vivacious twin boys. We visit friends and family in California about once a year and I often go to San Jose on business. Maybe I could meet up with some of you old folks (how did forty happen anyway???) when we're out there. If your interested, next visit is July 2001. Take care and see ya'll for the 25th! Robyn

Hello Class of 1978!! It is nice to see some old names out there. I transfered to Live Oak in 1977 and graduated in 1978. I played water polo and was on the swim team both years. I didn't do much else in school, just kind of screwed around (if you only knew then what you should know by now). As a senior, I did go to Squaw Valley with the Ski Club where I learned to ski in a blizzard. (I also broke Malcom's ski and got ditched by Eggo and Loel) One year and three months after graduation, I married a lady (Debbie Nash) from LO 78 that I never really dated in school. We had a great time at Grad Night in Santa Cruz and the rest...... We live in Hollister with our 5 (yes five) children: Bethany 16, Crysta 15, Travis 13, Alyssa 11 and Chelsea 8. All of our kids are on the swim club or the school volleyball teams or both. I went to SJSU for three years ('82, '83, '84 and spent my first semester taking classes I should have taken in high school) majoring in aeronautical engineering, but I never finished. I run my own construction business, C.F. Fowles Construction in Hollister. Most of my jobs are in Morgan Hill. I am coaching high school boys and girls volleyball at San Benito High School. I'm in my fifth season now (freshmen girls, JV girls, Varsity girls and Varsity boys). I have seen a few people from our class but not nearly enough! This is a great page, hope more people get hooked up.

Anyway, all is well at the Gooch houshold. Send me an email sometime. I'd love to hear from you.

Hey everybody! 9 months after graduation I moved to Nashville, Tennessee and I'm still here. I wrote songs for Sony/Tree publishing from 1980-95 and Warner/Chappell publishing from 1995 til now.... You can get the details on my webpage: www.vision3.com/donhenry The new page is under construction but should be up shortly. That address will be: donhenry.com Anyway.... I live with the love of my life, Molly Pruett, from Gadsden,Alabama. Actually, we just got married this summer(2000)! Our son Dylan just turned 7 and my daughter Jessie turned 12 last April. She lives in Gilroy most of the time with her Mama, Betsy Henry (Stannard) and lives here the rest of the time but not nearly enough! Besides writing songs for others to record, I also record and tour myself from time to time and would love to include any of you on my email list to let you know when I might be in your hometown. Last fall I played in the Bay Area and hooked up with Tom Telerico and Mark Peters as well as my oldest buddy and friend Rick Nelson. Music is still my hobby as well as my profession but I still ride motorcycles when I get a chance. Dirt bikes and streetbikes, I love it all! Most of my spare time is spent with our family, from yardsaling to just hanging out. Molly and I love books and walks in the park, Dylan and I love toy stores and Nintendo, Jessie and I love movies and the Beatles. If there are any Superbike or Flattrack fans out there who wanna talk, let me know. If there are any music nuts out there (especially Beatlemaniacs) talk to me babe! I'm not up on sports as much as the old days but I do like to talk baseball, new and old ....and yes, I admit it, I do miss late summer/early fall football practice. The changing seasons, the night games, the smell in the air. It was a dream about that, that woke me up early this morning and prompted me to write this long overdue hello to all my old friends and acquaintances out there. I hope all's well and healthy in your families. Please write if you have the time or the mind to................................................. Follow your Bliss, Don Henry

Hi all! Well I too was surprised to hear about this site. It sure is nice to see that some of you would still want to keep in contact after all these years.. About me, well I currently live in Willow Glen with my roommate from school( she only went there for 1 year) and her son. I too have two wonderful boys...Ramon Anthony Jr. and Christian Blane Moncayo...yes this is the same Moncayo that went to Live Oak also....if you do not remember me, maybe if I tell you who my younger brother is it will help jog your memory....Emilio "Chapo","AJ"! As far as work well I went to school for dentistry and actually worked in the field for 4 years....shortly after I left from working full-time to part-time in that, which is very easy to do, the money is great!!! But as fate would have it I left that field completly and just kicked it for a while....now I am working a Cisco Systems...and I totally love it!!! I am not married(anymore) and currently not seeing anyone exclusively...I do date quite a bit and love to get a good groove on the dance floor. So if anyone out there is up for some all night dancing anytime drop me a line. Take care!

After L.O. I attended Gav. then onto Chico State where I received an engineering degree. Following my education I spent 7 years with Lockheed Missiles and Space Company as a Senior Engineer. After that I packed my bags and moved back to Chico where I opened Chico Espresso, a coffee shop which I owned for two years. I've been back at Lockheed since 1996 working as a Quality Engineering Specialist and finished my MBA. I don't get around to playing much tennis, I spend most of my time on a motorcycle in the Santa Cruz hills. I recently (2000) married an absolutely wonderful woman which I can't say enough good things about. If there are any old 1978 people hanging around, shoot me an e-mail, I'd love to hear from you...

Hey classmates! It's been ages. I never wandered far from Morgan Hill. I have been married for almost 21 years, to Brett, and we have two kids. Mike is 19 and attending CSU Stanislaus, Anna is 15 and a Sophomore this year. We have lived in Los Banos for the past 10 years. I run into a lot of people from Live Oak, but it seems like none from '78. Brett works at Anritsu in Morgan Hill and he works with many former Acorns. He sees more of my past friends than I do and he comes from Sacramento! I work as an Aide in an elementary school and have done so for the past 5 years. Before that I enjoyed being a stay at home Mom. I spend many hours volunteering in the schools and with the girl scout program. I would love to hear from any of you! It was fun finding so many familiar names after so many years. A reunion would be fun!
