UPDATE:
I have been living in Florida for four years now, in Navarre, near Pensacola. We got hit pretty hard here by Hurricanes Ivan and Dennis, but our house did well and we are now preparing for yet another hurricane season. I am now a one year cancer survivor and have my own business and I am going to school online to get my business degree. I have an 18 year old son who is getting married in a few days and will be leaving for Army AIT training and then likely off to Iraq. I am have a wonderful man in my life and his two sons, 18, 12 and Chris (18) is going off to school at Full Sail in Florida and will be entering the entertainment field doing sound mixing and whatever else he decides to do. Brandon (12) is in school and keeps us on our toes all the time! :)
I hope to hear from my old class mates who remember me.
Talk to ya'll soon
Hello again to everyone! Well it's been almost a year since I found this site and things have really changed since then. I have found the perfect man for me. He is a wonderful dad with two boys that he has custody, so now I am the proud step-mom to two great boys, 12 and 6 years old, along with my own 12 year old son. We live in Las Vegas, along with two black Labs and two birds and a snake. Needless to say, this is a very active household. I don't have to work, so I get to be a full time mom, which is always what I've wanted to do, and I just love it. I found my yearbooks today and was looking through them and got very misty eyed, so anyone who remembers me, please drop me a line, I would love to hear from you.

Wanda and I recently celebrated our official 10yr. anniv. with a cruise in Jan. Been w/each other for 18 yrs. now. Still live in the DFW area since '92 and doing great! Currently involved in capital venture projects consisting of alternative energy technology www.americanecoenergy.com, and a new energy drink www.hedfirst.biz similar to Red Bull, but better tasting and less expensive! Look for the "HED" beverage to hit CA stores before too long!
My bro-in-law Dave is making good use of the kidney I gave him last year. Health is excellent for both of us w/no complications whatsoever! :)
Busy doing writeups for Drum Corps World News during the summer, playing percussion in a community band and finishing up the college degree I should've acquired 20yrs. ago. Should be completed just in time for retirement! :)
The family continues to grow with the recent birth of our granddaughter bringing the total to three (2 boys, 1 girl). Hope everyone is healthy and happy and where they wanna be in life! Feel free to drop an email anytime. :)

Live Oak finally enters the 20th Century just in time for the 21st. Hope one and all are doing well. I now find myself living in beautiful SoCal in San Diego. Since gradutation, I took a year an a half off from school to pursue my equestrian dreams in Vermont. It was a well deserved vacation after surviving HS. I did return home and attended SJSU where I recieved a BS in Business. I spent five years working for the City of San Jose as a PR and Promotions Specialist. Left NorCal in 1993 for San Diego. I am now climbing the corporate ladder with First American Financial. If there are any fellow Acorns in SD, send me an email. See you at our 20 year in 2001 if we survive the Y2K hoopla!

Well, it looks as not to many people update there info, and I happen to be one of them. Buck and I have been doing well, we simply take one day at a time. He works in San Jose and I am in Gilroy, as we would all like nothing better then having the luxory of not working at all..... but unless you win the lottery or inherit money you are just like all of us working people. As for now we have been spending time at the Softball field, Heather ( whom will be 9 in June) loves to play, and she is pretty darn good if I do say so myself, she also spends some of her time riding horses. But as the season comes to a close, we will have to start doing some fun weekend trips.

Hello All,
I was only at Live Oak until 1979. I guess I couldn't wait to start life, quit school and join a band. Which I did for a number of years, then became a builder, inventor and entrepenuer.
I got married, and am still married to the love of my life of 23 years, and have a wonderful son.
I recognize some of the names listed in my class and have sometimes wondered how you all have been, and I'm glad to see your all doing well.

I can't believe I am still hangin with Raeanne (a fixture since 7th grade - doesn't wear the white knee socks anymore)and still in touch with Pearle Verbica and Jill Berry.Graduated from Berkeley in '86 but didn't make it through law school. I still am living in Greece, doing my Julie McCoy Love Boat gig and married a sailor. I visited MH after a long time away and was astonished at the major growth discovered. When we moved to MH in 1970 there was one stop light and no McDonalds. My street (Edmundson Ave) has moved to another place. Would love to hear from any Oak Leaf or FBLA or KS people...

Hi I don't no where to start since it's been over 20 or so yrs since I seen anyone one from Live Oak. Well I went to Gavalin for 2 yrs then transfered to Sonoma State where I got a B.A. in Human Resources Management. After college worked in Recreation as coordinator. I then moved into retail management which took me to So Cal to the city of Ranch Cucamonga. I again went back in Recreation until 1999 when I moved to Las Vegas where I now work in Corprate offices of the MGM Mirage. I'm also married for the second, but no kids that I know of and one dog. I hope to hear from some of you in the future.

Greetings fellow LO Class of '81 graduates. I was happy to have been led to this site (thanks, Patty) while trying to find out if we'd have a 25 year reunion. Hard to believe it's been that long and that we are 40-something.
I moved to the Bay Area after graduating from LO and accumulated 3 degrees, including an MS in Geology. I have lived in the beautiful state of Colorado for about 8 years, and am Vice President of an operating unit at MWH Global, Inc., a worldwide environmental engineering firm. My sister Jackie (LO Class of '82) lives here, too, and I am fortunate to see her often. I have two awesome sons, Gabriel who is 6, and Forrest who is 4. I started late, but I am hoping they continue to keep me running.
I am looking forward to seeing lots of you soon at the reunion. I hope they give us name tags with photos of our graduating year. It's been a while ...

Class of '81. Although I only attended LO for my freshman year, I'd love to hear from the many friends I made as an Acorn Volleyball, Basketball and Softball player. I left California to attend High school in Texas and Idaho. I managed to stay in one place at Montana Tech long enough to get a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering. I'm currently working for the Bureau of Land Management in Montrose, Colorado enjoying all the adventure the Rockies provide.

Hello all...After high school I attended Gavilan for a few years, then proceded to get my degree in LIFE. After me stint in college, I worked for South Valley National Bank for several years. Then I tried my hand at Intuit Supply in Palo Alto but I couldn't stand the commute. I currently work as an office manager for a convalescent hospital in Morgan Hill. I never married. I live in Morgan Hill and love to travel to tropical places, when time and $$ allows. I am also on the Board of Directors for the MH Mushroom Mardi Gras as Secretary/Treasurer. I also have a arts & crafts/jewelery home based business. In late February, my father,"Mr. Cretin" passed away. He loved seeing his students blossom into adults and teaching was his greatest love. I have been convinced to go to the reunion, so I hope those who knew me will recognize me?!? See you there.

Where has the time gone? Well as a junior in high school I signed up for the Army and did 4 years after graduation. After the Army I moved to Oregon for a few months and then I moved to Ridgecrest Ca. I eventually married Tracee Lopez-pennington. We lived in Ridgecrest for 6 yrs. We moved to North Las Vegas in 1992. We have two fantastic boys, Robert(22) is Tracees son from a previous marriage, Charles (19) is our son. Robert graduated from high school in 2002. Charles graduated from Centennial High, was in the Marching Band and Jazz Band there. We visit San Jose 2 or 3 times a year to see the boys Grandparents. Las Vegas is a great city, if you have never been here you should do yourself a favor and visit soon. See you at the top of the Stratosphere, the big shot awaits you. Wow!!! this is great just learned about this. Some of you may remember me by the musical "Carousel" I was big in choir in school. When I left Liveoak I went to college for a few years to open up a business with my mom called Diet Center. After that I became a telephone operator in Gilroy. I eventually got into retail and my parents bought a store in Marin where I have worked for the last twelve years. The store has been sold and will be shut down so I'm on to a new adventure in my life. I'm single, never been married, and have no children. I now live in Sacramento County in a little town called Galt and starting all over. I see a lot of familiar names on here and can't wait to get in touch with them and catch up on all of the memories. Please if you think you may remember me email me.At this name or Dawnemarie@netzero.com
Hey! I am now living in Sacramento and enjoying my family. My motto is "Life is a roller coaster so you might as well enjoy the ride!" I miss you guys. We were blessed to be at a great school in one of the greatest times of history (my opinion). My message to the world....Hey fellow Acorns! I've checked out the site a few times but never entered a profile...no guts no glory right? So here goes... Living in the Willow Glen area in San Jose...I have no Yahoo or Cisco stock.. so yes I rent! For 11+ yrs... don't tell my landlord about the housing boom! Attempted to do the college thing several times but the work thing seemed to always call my name. I worked in the industrial printing industry for 15+ yrs. and just recently changed fields - now in electronics distribution ( the big bucks!..yeah right) Not married (yet) no children (that I know of!) Jeez...this makes me think my life has reaalllly been boring! I keep in touch with Julie Hernandez - she is my SOURCE of all things great and small in Mo Hill...would love to hear from my class mates... any graduating classyear will do. Until then...

Four years after high-school, Darrin(Live Oak Class of 80) and I got married, and moved to Alaska. Froze our butts off, went broke and bailed out in 1987. Came back to Gilroy, CA. and live on 40acres, with three goats, a dog and a cat. 1994 Darrin injured his back and had to be retrained- he chose training with Cisco and is now an Engineer for a Internet hosting company in Mtn. View. I got my AA at Gavilan in Child Dev.,interned for a year as a preschool teacher and decided kids weren't it for me. Thanks to Darrin's job, I don't have to work but I got bored. So I work part-time for a Dr. in Morgan Hill. Darrin and I after being together for 20years, I can say he is still the love of my life and best friend. We may be "Dinks" but we love it this way!!!! Maybe I will finally make our 20th class reunion 2001, and who ever remembers me...we can catch up! In the meantime, drop me an email!
